The application of the threads into the skin in order to correct skin sagging has been pre-existing for several years. However, with the evolution of new technology, it is a much simpler and different procedure.

The threads are used to correct the sagging areas of the skin.

The threads are made of especially absorbable material and have a lifespan of 120-180 days. However, the lifting effect lasts longer up to 1 year. This is due to the fact that the threads stimulate the production of collagen around them.

The threads are placed easily and painless using only anesthetic cream on the treated area. The specially designed inserting guides are suitable for easy and non-traumatic penetration and are removed immediately with one movement leaving the thread in its place (in the lower layer of the dermis). It is necessary to place several threads per area in order to have the expected lifting effect (in order to be produced sufficient collagen that will last). Immediately, there is an impressive result which is due to swelling around the thread while for the final result it will take about 2-3 months. There are more complex types of threads either cog type or with special cones.

The simplest threads that are described above are a quick, easy and painless procedure, without incisions or marks, with an immediately visible result that lasts 1 year and can be ideally combined with mesotherapy. The threads can also be combined with injectable hyaluronic acid to restore the skin volume that has been lost due to aging.

There are no particular side effects other than minor bruises that may occur during application, which go away within 7-10 days and are covered with makeup.

There is very little risk of granulomas because the threads material is absorbable and the aseptic placement process eliminates the possibility of infection. It is an ideal treatment for correction of skin sagging without volumizing the face such as in hyaluronic acid fillers. In addition, it is possible to use them in the neck and body areas.
